08. Spelling envelopes
This material allows children to explore common spelling patterns in greater depth through systematic classification, reading and word analysis.
Each envelope contains words that focus on a specific spelling pattern, encouraging children to observe similarities, recognize differences and discover spelling regularities. The collection includes the following spelling patterns: ai, ay, ea, oa, er, ur, ph & wh. Working with the envelopes encourages independent investigation while progressively strengthening spelling accuracy and written language skills. Montessori Purpose: To deepen children's understanding of spelling patterns through classification, reading and word analysis, fostering increasingly accurate and confident spelling. Material Preparation: Cut out the word cards, laminate them and organize each spelling pattern into its corresponding envelope before presenting the material.
